Confirmation Classes
Classes, led by Pastor Paula, are offered in Spring for youth who want to become full members of the church. Field trips, dramatic skits, memorizing Bible passages, and participating in a mission project are ways used to prepare for confirmation.

Vacation Bible School
Each August, St. Matthias UMC offers a week-long Vacation Bible School. Through music, drama, puppets, Bible stories, arts & crafts, and many other experiences, children of all ages learn of God's love for them.

Kid's Club
A club for 3rd-5th graders meets once a month during the school year for social activities, at Christmas makes cookies which they deliver to elderly/shut-in of the congregation and in February creates Valentine gift bags which they deliver to the residents of the Greenfield Nursing Home. The Kid's Club is led by Rosa Hogue.

Choir
The Cherub choir for 4 year old to 3rd graders provides an oportunity for children to priase God through music. The choir is directed by Mary Lou Pitzer.

Acolytes
Children in 4th grade and up have a unique opportunity to serve in worship as Acolytes during the 8:45 and 11:00 a.m. services. Acolytes are responsible for lighting and extinguishing the altar candles, assisting the ushers with collection of tithes and offerings. Children interested in becoming Acolytes should contact Becky Hubbard.

Cub Scouts
The St. Matthias UMM sponsors Cub Scout Pack 213 at the church.

Girl Scouts
The St. Matthias UMW sponors Girl Scout Troop 127.
