St. Matthias will host its annual Boy Scout Sunday services on February 12th. Scouts and families from our own Pack 213 as well as surrounding community are encouraged to participate in the service and join us in worship. To facilitate a deeper spiritual journey this Lent, we will be distributing a devotion booklet to the entire congregation, comprised of meditations by persons attending St. Matthias. We would be blessed by your participation.

St. Matthias will offer the God & Country program for all youth this spring. The programs are open to all members of youth serving civic agencies (Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H and Campfire USA) as well as anyone interested in participating from the congregation or community who is not a member of these organizations. Confirmation is a service in which confirmands (youth ages 6th grade & up) take on the vows of baptism made by their parents when they were infants or children. If you have a youth and wish them to be confirmed, please contact Rev. Westbrook or the church office, 373-8759.

Volunteer to serve as an usher for worship! This is an important way to serve and we always welcome new volunteers. Ushers for both services are needed every Sunday.
Ushers wecome others -- especailly visitors -- hand out bulletins and collect the offering. Please sign up to usher on the bulletin board outside of the church office. We need friendly, wecoming people willing to serve throughtout the year! This is a great way for couples to serve together.

The Cub Scouts will be collecting aluminum cans in the two blue receptacles outside the kitchen door for recycling. If you would like to help the scouts, please bring your aluminum cans for recycling.
The new 2012 Altar Flower chart can now be found on the bulletin board outside the office. When signing up, please keep in mind that flowers will not be ordered until payment has been received. In order to keep the cost of the flower arrangements down, we ask that you return clean vases to the church office for reuse. The cost for altar flower arrangements is $20. Please sign up now!
We will continue to sell Giant and Food Lion/Bloom food cards in the church office every Sunday during the Sunday School hour. In addition, food cards will now be sold immediately following the 11:00 service on the first Sunday of every month.
The newspapers that placed in our RED BIN are used to earn money for our missions
We recyle printer cartridges to help fund our youth program. Donated cartridges should be placed in the Pastor's mailbox or the box in her office.
